Telepsychiatry
Sprout Anew provides scheduled mental health services through secure, real-time video appointments. Audio-only visits may be offered when clinically appropriate, operationally supported, and permitted by applicable payer and professional requirements. Patients must be physically located in a jurisdiction where the treating clinician is authorized to practice at the time of the appointment.
Types of Telepsychiatry
Synchronous Video Visits
Live, scheduled psychiatric evaluations and follow-ups via a secure platform.
Audio-Only Visits
Used only when appropriate and permitted; limitations should be explained to the patient.
Secure Asynchronous Communication
Non-urgent portal messages, questionnaires, and document exchange.
Collaborative Telepsychiatry
Care coordination with another authorized provider when clinically appropriate and permitted by the patient.
Electronic Prescribing
Electronic prescribing and pharmacy coordination are performed through approved clinical systems and are subject to legal and clinical requirements.
Patient Requirements
A smartphone, tablet, or computer with a camera, microphone, and reliable internet connection.
A private, reasonably quiet location and headphones where privacy may be limited.
Government-issued identification and accurate contact information when required.
Physical location and emergency contact are confirmed at each visit.
Completion of consent, intake, privacy acknowledgment, and payment or insurance verification before the appointment.
A backup telephone number in case the video connection fails.
Telehealth Safety and Emergency Information
At the beginning of each visit, the clinician may confirm the patient’s identity, physical location, callback number, privacy conditions, and emergency contact. Telepsychiatry is not suitable for every condition or circumstance. When a higher level of care is needed, the clinician may recommend in-person assessment, emergency evaluation, hospitalization, or another service.
New-Patient Intake and Appointment Workflow
General Inquiry
A prospective patient may call the practice or use a minimal-data callback form. Do not request detailed symptoms, diagnoses, medication lists, Social Security numbers, or insurance images in a standard contact form.
Secure Intake
The patient is redirected to a HIPAA-compliant intake or electronic health record portal to provide demographics, medical and psychiatric history, medications, allergies, insurance details, consent forms, and upload documents.
Eligibility and Fit Review
The practice verifies the patient’s location, age range, clinical needs, licensure jurisdiction, insurance participation, access to technology, and whether telepsychiatry is appropriate.
Benefits and Financial Disclosure
Staff verify benefits when possible and explain that verification does not guarantee payment. The patient receives self-pay fees, estimated responsibility, cancellation terms, and payment policies.
Scheduling
The patient receives an appointment date, secure visit instructions, guidance on technology testing, and emergency expectations.
Clinical Visit
The clinician verifies identity and location, reviews consent and privacy, conducts the evaluation, and documents care in the clinical record.
Ongoing Care
Follow-up appointments, refill requests, clinical messages, forms, and documents are managed through the secure patient portal.
Confidential Callback Form
Please do not use this form for emergencies or include detailed medical or psychiatric information.
